Steel Dreams TV and LA Racing have teamed up to offer a one of a kind Racing Challenge. From September 26, 2006 through May 2007, we will register paying students to compete in the Racing Challenge and will also be giving away Free 15 Lap Passes for each of the 10 Time Trials. Each Time Trial will have a maximum of 50 drivers competing for five spots. The five top drivers will advance to the finals (Date TBD). The first Time Trial is set to begin January, 2007.

If you’re your Steel Dream includes driving a real Nascar Stockcar then you have two options:

1) Take a chance win a spot in one of ten Time Trials and drive a real Nascar Stock Car, or

2) Purchase a 15 Lap Race Pass by registering to participate in the Challenge

Who knows, you may win and be on TV and maybe even rub elbows with your favorite Celebrities.

500 Point Scoring System

Five Driving Skills measured each having 100 points possible.

Top Five Point getters advance to the Final Event where the Driver with the most points will win the Car.



***** DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS***** 



Listen to the instructor and follow his direction.  Do that and you get 100 points.  This is the only 100 point segment where there's a human element... the instructor can deduct 50 points if he feels the driver was not following the designated line, or if in his opinion, the driver drove over his/her head (excessive speed, dangerous line, etc).  CRASH and you're out of the contest, period. **100 Points possible**



*****LAP TIME CONSISTENCY*****



Driver will warm up with the first 10 of 15 laps on the track to get a feel for the track and line, have fun and get the adrenaline pumping.  Then, they will be told over the radio that the last 5 laps will be timed for consistency.  We'll take the quickest time and the slowest time, get that difference and take that number of tenths (tenths of a second) and deduct it from 100 points. We're thinking about giving each driver .10 to start.  



Example: Joe puts up laptimes of :22.05, :21.90, :22.25, :22.35, :22.30.  In this example, the best time was :21.90 and worst time was :22.35.  This is a difference of .45 seconds.  Joe would earn 55 points for this element (1 minus the difference multiplied by 100).  Every driver will receive .10 to start which is then subtracted from the .45 (leaving .35) which means Joe would earn at total of 65 points.  Note: Our experience tells us even first time drivers once they're in a groove, can reasonably put up 5 laps with only .20 or so separation.  That would be a 80 to 90 score. **100 Points Possible with a potential of 10 extra bonus points**



***** MANEUVERABILITY*****



At the conclusion of the 15th Lap, the driver will enter the infield and drive through a pattern marked by 10 cones.  This reflects coming into pit row and having to avoid cars leaving or entering their pits.  Hit no cones, get 100 points.  10 point deduction for each cone hit.  **100 Points Possible**





***** PIT STOP *****



Once the Driver has completed the MANEUVERABILITY challenge the Driver will end the driving portion with a simulated pit stop where they will bring their car to a stop in a designated pit.  Two measurements will be made; the first is a measurement from the nose of the car to the designated stopping point and the second; a measurement front left tire to the stop point.  1 point will be deducted for each ¼”.  Deductions from both measurements in total will make up the score.  If driver OVERSHOOTS the pit, there is a FIVE point deduction per inch past the stop point.  **100 Points Possible**



***** TIRE CHANGE CHALLENGE *****



The only element conducted outside the car, and will most likely be performed while waiting their turn to drive.  Change a tire.  Use the air wrench and remove lugnuts, tire man will pull off tire, and student will put lugnuts back on.  This will be a timed challenge. This challenge has been designed to be fair for all contestants as the air gun only weighs a few pounds. We're giving each student 15 seconds to start and adding it to their score.  



Example: Joe completes the job in 21 seconds.  He gets 79 points plus the 15 he started with, for a total of 94 points.

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. NO SUBMISSION TO SALES PRESENTATION REQUIRED. Sweepstakes open to recipients of the “Show us What ya got – Speed Challenge” who are licensed drivers, legal residents of the continental United States and are 18 years of age or older as of September 16, 2006. Employees of Patriot Motor Corporation or LA Racing Experience and, their subsidiaries, affiliates, dealers, advertising, production and promotion agencies and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law. 



2. TO ENTER: Complete the entry form located on www.steeldreamstv.com  and click “submit” to be entered. The Random Drawings will be held a minimum of 30 days prior to the formally announced “Time Trial” dates which are published on www.steeldreamstv.com. Winners will be notified via telephone and via email; by phone between the hours of 9AM and 6PM ET and given instructions on how to claim their 15 Lap Race Pass prize. Sweepstake registrants will be eligible for all (9) Random Drawings. Only one entry per person/e-mail address will be entered. All entries submitted become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Sweepstakes ends May 30, 2007 at 11:59 PM. 



3. PRIZES: Steel Dreams TV will award (5) 15 Lap Race Passes (retail value $430.00) for Nine (9) of the Ten (10) Scheduled “Time Trials” beginning with Time Trial #2, for a total of (45) 15 Lap Race Passes to be given away by Steel Dreams TV for the promotional period.  Randomly selected winners of the 15 Lap Race Passes are to be redeemed exclusively as part of the Scheduled “Time Trial”.  In the event that a winner does not redeem Prize on designated “Trial Date”, the prize will not be awarded. 

Winners will be selected from an ongoing list of registrants collected exclusively from www.steeldreamstv.com from September 16, 2006 through the end of the promotional period May 30, 2007.  There will be a total of ten (9) random drawings each of which will take place a minimum of 30 days prior to the scheduled “Time Trials”, with exception of the first Time Trial scheduled for September 26, 2006.  Each drawing will include Five (5) 15 Lap Race Passes which are to be used exclusively for a scheduled “Time Trial”.  15 Lap Free Passes may be donated to another person as long as the recipient meets the criteria in #1 above and has registered with Steel Dreams TV a minimum of 14 days prior to the Scheduled “Time Trial”.  15 Lap Race Pass includes Breakfast and Lunch on premise, 45 minute Driving Instruction, 15 laps behind the wheel of a LA Racing Nascar Stock Car and a personal DVD (in-car camera footage). (Approximate Retail Value: $430). Winners are responsible for transportation to and from the Irwindale Speedway. The 15 Lap Race Pass is good only for the Scheduled Racing Challenge Time Trials and cannot be used toward LA Racing Experience classes. Winners (and travel companion, where appropriate) will be required to sign and return the Release Form for Media Recording a minimum of Ten (10) days prior to the day of event. Winners of the 15 Lap Race Pass will be required by the school to sign additional liability releases or waivers the day of event. 

Odds of winning the 15 Lap Free Pass prizes will be determined by the number of eligible entries received during the promotional period. 



4. The top Five Winners, scoring the most points of each Time Trial will be invited back to compete in the Final Event (date to be determined) where a total of 50 drivers (Time Trial winners) will compete for a chance to win a $50,000 car.  The driver with the most points at the Final Event will be awarded the car at the end of the Final Event.  Winner of the car will be required to appear at a subsequent presentation and ceremony. Date of ceremony to be determined and will appear on www.steeldreamstv.com no later than December 31, 2006.



5. This sweepstakes is being administered by AdBuyExchange.com, Inc. (ABE), an independent judging organization, which is solely responsible for its conduct, completion and awarding of prizes. All decisions of ABE on all matters relating to this sweepstakes, are final. Entrants agree that ABE, Steel Dreams TV, LA Racing Experience, their agencies and dealers, companies associated with this program and their directors, affiliates, employees, agents and other relevant persons, shall not be liable for injuries or losses of any kind resulting from acceptance or use of prizes or parts thereof. 



6. Steel Dreams TV, LA Racing Experience and ABE, Inc. are not responsible for failed, incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete entry of information by participants, technical malfunction of computer hardware, software malfunctions, problems associated with any virus or any other damage caused to participants’ systems, lost or unavailable network connections, garbled or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with, or utilized in, this sweepstakes or by human error, which may occur in the transmission or processing of the entries in this sweepstakes or any combination thereof. All Internet access and usage charges are the responsibility of the entrant. 8. Prizes are transferable within 15 days of Scheduled Time Trial and may not be substituted or exchanged except by Sponsor in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. No cash substitution. Prize winners are responsible for federal, state and local taxes. 15 Lap Race Pass winner is responsible for transportation to and from Irwindale Speedway 



9. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name, photograph or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion on behalf of Steel Dreams TV and LA Racing Experience and its approved sponsors without further permission or compensation, where allowable by law. 



10. 15 Lap Race Pass winners, if claimed and verified, will be notified by phone and by email and will be published on www.steeldreamstv.com and will remain on line until the end of the promotion period.
